Photographic Art Jamaica was established in 2004 by award winning Photographer Devon "OlUgbenga" Shaw.
The original idea for the company was to provide clients with our unique fine art photos, commercial, and events, photography services. However, due to a growing demand for our high quality Caribbean imagery from leading photo-researchers, and editors from around the world, Photographic Art Jamaica now features an extensive searchable stock library of Caribbean imagery. Our library includes images of Caribbean People, foods, Architecture, crafts, culture & lifestyles, fauna & flora, travel, and much more.

It is said that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Shaw has just the aptness and rare talent, which grasps that beauty and brings it into the focus of the eye. Jamaicans.com Journalist, Xavier Murphy defiined Shaw as a “new breed of Jamaican Photographers.” His style is awe-inspiring. Shaw describes it this way “…I am able to take the mundane things, the things most would pass without noticing and create images that are noticeable.” Although Shaw’s photographic art takes you primarily around Jamaica, exposing you to the island’s rich culture, architecture, nature, and laid-back lifestyle, it’s the people that make his camera clicks. Shaw says he savours the _expression, moods and individual characteristics of people. In an interview with Jamaica.com Shaw told Murphy, “If you are not able to capture, with your camera the beauty and life that God has blessed us with, you can preserve the life and beauty you see around you by simply seeking the best welfare of your neighbour.” Devon's work has been featured in many exhibits across Jamaica..... he has been shooting for over twenty years and is the recipient of numerous national awards.
